Researchers in the United States have found a link between the layout of grocery stores and casinos.
“Both those spaces are designed to encourage people to lose their sense of time, to lose a sense of purpose and to focus them on the products on offer,” says gambling expert Dr Charles Livingstone.
The layout of both casinos and grocery stores are designed to steer patrons in a certain direction.
